&SPIRITS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ai Kuroda) will be holding a collaboration event to promote the appeal of Brazil's national distilled spirit, Cachaça, at &SPIRITS, a select shop selling drinkable distilled spirits in Nakameguro, Tokyo, from Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

Cachaça is the third most produced distilled alcoholic drink in the world after shochu and vodka. It is made from sugarcane and is considered the national drink of Brazil, with over 4,000 brands. &SPIRITS will hold a special POP-UP event to fully convey the charm of cachaça over two months from May 1st to June 30th, 2024, as a collaboration event with the Japan Cachaça Association, which is engaged in various activities to connect consumers with cachaça, with the aim of making cachaça more widely known, popularized, and established in Japan.

■ Cocktail performance by guest bartenders
Every Tuesday, during bar time, four exceptional guest bartenders will be serving up special cachaça cocktails.

・May 7th (Tue), June 4th (Tue) Bar BlueCane Ohashi Hisatane

Ohashi will be serving cocktails made with the premium cachaça brand "Ipioca," which was founded in 1846 in the state of Ceara, Brazil, and has a history of over 170 years, making it a pioneer in aging.


Special cocktail "Ypióca Legal" ¥1,320 (tax included)

Legal means "cool" or "good." Made with Ipioca Reserva Ouro, this cocktail combines brown cacao and Grand Marnier with a strong barrel aroma and Ipioca Classic Prata, which is infused with smoked nuts, to create a not-too-sweet after-meal cocktail.
Enjoy it with the accompanying dried orange garnish and chocolate (with nutmeg mixed in).

・May 14th (Tue), June 11th (Tue) Bar LIBRE GINZA Fumika Yonashiro

Yonamiya will be serving cocktails using Capucana, a unique cachaça brand that is particular not only about the ingredients but also about the barrel aging process, aging it for three years in bourbon barrels and finishing in Islay oak barrels, resulting in a subtle smoky flavor.

The motif is the yellow ipê flower, the national flower of Brazil. The flower language of the ipê is "secret love."
The cocktail's name, Fofo, means cute in Portuguese, and it is packed with cuteness with the Brazilian fruit graviola and sweet and sour blackcurrant.

・May 21 (Tue), June 18 (Tue) Flying Bumblebee Ai Igarashi

Igarashi will be serving cocktails made using "Cerreta," a long-established brand with over 40 years of history that is the number one craft cachaça brand in Brazil in terms of sales and production volume.

A sweet and sour cocktail of Ceretta, yogurt, and honey, with homemade Tabasco added.

・May 28th (Tue), June 25th (Tue) BAR RUMBULLION Sho Sugawara

Sugawara will be serving cocktails made using "Weber House," a brand known for its overwhelming commitment to quality, among other "Cachaça Artisanal" (Portuguese for "handmade by artisans"), which is handmade at his family distillery.


Special cocktail: "Super Scorched Butter Cachaça" ¥1,320 (tax included)

"Cachaça x burnt butter syrup".
This is a special burnt butter cachaça that can only be enjoyed at this time of year, at this event, and during Sugawara-san's guest shift. This cocktail also has another name, so we will be sharing it on social media soon.

Additionally, during the two months of May and June, you can enjoy a special cachaça menu during the day on all days of the week except Tuesdays.
The event will allow you to enjoy cachaça to your heart's content, with paid tastings of various cachaças, a tasting set of different barrels, and &SPIRITS' original cachaça cocktails.

&SPIRITS head bartender Nakajima's "Brazilian Pudding with Yuzu & Cachaça Espuma" uses jequitiba from Quintadas Castaneiras, a bar in Minas Gerais known for its delicate flavor and clear aroma. Traditional Brazilian pudding made with condensed milk is combined with a refreshing yuzu espuma.
